The Alpha Sax from Trevor James

At Wood, Wind and Reed we see a lot of young players with all the enthusiasm to play an instrument, but unable to because they are too small to handle the weight or size of it. For clarinettists the solutions are the Amati or Lyons C clarinets, for flautists there are curved head joints or the Jupiter Prodigy flutes, horn players - kinder horns, bassoonists - mini bassoons. But for young aspiring saxophonists, there is not much that can be done.

Until now...!

Last year Trevor James introduced the Alpha Sax which was reviewed by Wood, Wind and Reed staff member Thomas Dryer Beers for CASS Magazine.

The Alpha Sax is available at Wood Wind and Reed to purchase or rent through the Instrument Trial Plan or straight rental scheme or on the Kinder Instruments (formerly Instrument 4 Life) scheme (details of all of these can be found here). Capture your child's enthusiasm now and get them playing.
